So in lieu of this heat, I have yet to really get a good tan for the summer. I’m sure many of you haven’t as well! We all love the Jergen’s Natural Glow Moisturizer, but if you’re like me, a week of shellacking the entire body empties the bottle! Plus, the thickness of the lotion makes it easy to make your fake tan look streaky.
If there’s one tanning product I will always standby, it’s Australian Gold. Their tanning lotions are perfect because they aren’t oily but also don’t dry out, and also have an instant bronzer in them. After being inspired by a few make-up tricks, I decided to try a recipe of my own.
I spritzed myself with the tanning lotion like I would regularly, but then combined it with a just a dash of moisturizer (shea butter, to be exact). And voila! My homemade, makeshift bronzing lotion! Best part? There’s LOADS more in the two bottles that it takes to make it, than 4 of the Jergen’s brand! Plus, there’s a bit of SPF for your benefit!
